Equipment features
Base units are available in a number of versions with different
power supply and output type configurations.
You can choose between units with 230 V AC or
24 V DC power supplies and relay or transistor outputs.
All the base unit versions have the same basic
CPU and performance specifications.
High-speed inputs for fast counting taskswith counting
frequencies of up to 5 kHz and
interrupt processing capabilities.
Integrated RUN/STOP switch and two
analog potentiometers for setpoint value entry.
The base units have integrated,
maintenance-free EEPROM usermemory for up to 2000
PLC programsteps with a backup battery to protect
memory contents against power failures. You can also configure
password protection to prevent unauthorised access to your programs.
Integrated pulse outputs
for frequencies from10 to 2000Hz for controlling
steppingmotors and outputting pulse-width
modulated signals.
External EPROMor EEPROM memory cassettes for PLC program storage.
Thesememory cassettes are also available in versions with a real-time clock.
The base units can be expanded for up to 128 I/Os with both
modular and compact expansion units.
The modular design of the FX0N-40MR-UA1/UL series makes it extremely
flexible, enabling it to be used for a very broad range of applications.
You can configure tailor-made systems by combiningmodules froma
variety of different categories (see figure).Allmodules are electrically
isolated from their environment with optocouplers for maximum reliability.
